Frequently asked questions
Is it free?
Yes, completely free with no sign-up. You don't need an email or password, and neither do the participants.
Can the organizer see who got whom?
Results never appear on screen and links are encrypted, so names don't show in the chat or the link preview. Like drawing names from a hat, it works on trust: the organizer shouldn't open other people's links. If the organizer isn't taking part, they can view the full list.
Is my data stored on a server?
No. The draw happens on your phone and each result travels only inside its own link. Your group is saved in your browser so you can come back and resend links.
Can I stop couples from drawing each other?
Yes. Under “Rules”, choose people who shouldn't draw each other. The tool finds a draw that follows every rule, or tells you if none is possible.
I misspelled a name. What now?
Tap “Edit group”, fix it and draw again. Old links will still show the old draw, so send everyone their new link.
How many people can take part?
From 3 to 100 people.
Is the draw truly random?
Yes. It uses your browser's cryptographic random number generator, the same kind used in security software.
